Join Ustadh Tahseen Khan for the presentation of his recently published book defending the Islamic creed concerning the creation of mankind.
This event is for students with a background in Kalam or those who already are familiar with the discussions of the book.

- The lecture will begin with an introduction honing in on where exactly the contention lies between those Muslims that affirm an original creation for Adam (`alayh al-salam) versus those that permit him to have biologically evolved.
- This portion of the seminar will speak about matters relating to consensus, principles of exegesis, and finally ends with a rigorous application of `ilm al-balaghahnce suggests vis-a-vis revelation, defining & understanding the role of rational and nomic judgments, etc.
- From here onwards, the seminar will begin to engage with what the primary sources are seemingly stating and how to interpret this within the tradition but with due respect to the scientific contributions on the subject. This portion of the seminar will speak about matters relating to consensus, principles of exegesis, and finally ends with a rigorous application of `ilm al-balaghah.
Biography: Biography: Tahseen N. Khan was born and raised in the Philadelphia region in the US. He completed his BS degree in Chemical Engineering and also completed the renowned Dars Nizami curriculum under numerous authorized Islamic scholars. He is also a lecturer in Islamic Theology (`aqīdah) at the Darussalam Seminary in Chicago. He currently resides with his family in the suburbs of Chicago while continuing to work as a chemical engineer.
