It is $850 per semester. There are three semesters every year, and classes are offered year round with some breaks for holidays.

Classes are year-round, but with breaks for Ramadan, Eid ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, the Mawlid, as well as a break for major US holidays: Thanksgiving, 4th of July, and the last week of December.

This program is for seekers at all levels, including those who have no plans to go into full-time scholarship. The main requirement that is needed is a serious desire to seek knowledge and the mental and physical ability to commit to the time and rigor of a program that meets three hours a day, for three days a week.

Darul Fath is fully in-person. If you choose to take online classes, we offer them at Arkview.org.

Like any higher education or professional program, Darul Fath maintains a standard of academic professionalism. Students are expected to attend all classes and school-related events. Excessive missed attendance without valid excuse may result in dismissal from the program.

Women are equally included and encouraged to apply to the program. If a course is large enough, the course will be divided into a men’s section and a women’s section. Otherwise, due to logistical constraints, classes will be held together with a barrier between men and women.

As a pre-requisite, students must have decided to study Hanafi or Maliki fiqh.
Shafi'i and Hanbali fiqh are not offered presently.
A student may not study two madhabs at once for pedagogical reasons.

The book list will be made available to all students.
Students can use PDFs of the books or they can purchase them online.

Classes are held at NBIC masjid: 1330 Livingston Ave in North Brunswick (NBIC).

Yes. Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim, even if they don’t want to be a scholar. Even though this program is equivalent to the first 2-3 years of a full-time Islamic scholarship program, it was created to be for everyone. The majority of our students are working professionals, such as doctors and engineers, or full-time college students.
